Black Lungs: Hidden Cost of Coal Mining in China

It is well established that the coal mining ravages the land and leads to immense ecological damage, estimated by some to coast china ~7% of GDP. There is yet another hidden toll: the health hazards suffered by millions of coal miners. At least a quarter million have died in the last six decades as result of mining.
